He is currently a senior studying Political Science and has demonstrated a strong interest in becoming involved with government in the future. Stephen’s deep involvement in the chapter began his Sophomore year, when he held the position of House Manager, an integral but seldom recognized position. He decided to run for the position of President during his junior year and despite being abroad, phoned in his speech for nomination. Despite his absence, Stephen’s commitment to the house and leadership among brothers paved the way for his election to the Presidency.

During his term as President, Stephen oversaw major improvements to the house and brotherhood, such as the renovation of the basement and installation of a new trophy case. Stephen rushed and initiated a 24 man pledge class, the second largest on campus. Furthermore, Stephen has continued Pike philanthropy with great turnout to the Scott Mackler Run this year with about $1,200 raised for ALS through alumni contributions. His dedication to improving the brotherhood and house have been something for all his brothers to look up to. It is without doubt that we can call Stephen Purcell a True Pike for all to look up to. He has been cherished by all for his high sense of integrity and good judgment. He will truly be missed by all after he graduates. From the Beta Pi Alumni Association, thank you Stephen for your great contributions to this fraternity and best of luck in all your future endeavors!
