One of Beta Pi’s own—Robert Hubbell ’70—is spearheading marketing for a new startup: Coastal Risk Consulting, LLC (CRC).

Hubbell works alongside another Penn alumnus—Albert Slap ’71, President of the company.

CRC provides online flood forecasting for coastal property owners, businesses, governments, and communities. This critical information allows people to make more informed decisions before purchasing coastal properties or building in a coastal area. In addition, it helps property owners determine whether they need to take action to prevent flooding.

Though Hubbell had recently retired as a partner and managing director of global communications and marketing for Cantor Fitzgerald, he was drawn to CRC as he learned more about the value the company provided to its customers.

CRC is gaining momentum having validated the service for municipal clients like the City of Miami, and they now have endorsements from property owners located from New Jersey all the way to Florida.
