Alumni Gather for Founders’ Day in PhiladelphiaThe Beta Pi Chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha celebrated its annual Founders’ Day dinner at the Inn at Penn on April 2, 2016. For those of you who weren’t in attendance, check out our photos HERE. Plus, here’s what you missed:

Thirty alumni and fifty-five undergraduate members of the fraternity were in attendance.

A cocktail hour preceded the festivities, which were opened by alumni association President Ross Weiner, who welcomed the assemblage to the celebration of the 148th Anniversary of the founding of Pi Kappa Alpha. A buffet dinner followed.

Internal VP Nico DeLuna provided a chapter update with an emphasis on the excellence of the newly initiated Omega Class, followed by Bruce Wolfson, who provided an update on the International Fraternity and also presented the Scott Mackler True Grit Award to winner Zach Rosen.

New member educators Charles Heinz and Dan Secor introduced the members of the newly initiated Omega Class and then Rohan Alur and Nico DeLuna presented the annual undergraduate SLAG awards.

Rich Myers was recognized by the undergraduate chapter with the Alumni Appreciation Award and five year alumni loyalty awards were presented to Bruce Wolfson, Joel Catania, and Joe Livezey.

The Omega Class then provided rousing renditions of traditional Pike songs followed by closing remarks by Nico DeLuna.

It was another memorable Founders’ Day Dinner. A more detailed summary of the event will follow in upcoming newsletters.
