PI KAPPA ALPHA 2020 INTER/NATIONAL CONVENTION POSTPONED The Pi Kappa Alpha (PiKA) 2020 International Convention, scheduled July 8-12, 2020, in Las Vegas, Nevada, has been postponed to January 7-10, 2021, to be held, in conjunction with the 2021 Marvin and Nancy Dennis Chapter Executives Conference presently scheduled for the January dates, at the historic Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee.

This decision was made by the Supreme Council of PiKA Inter/National Fraternity after consultation with legal counsel, and with consideration of the history of prior PiKA conventions. This marks the first time the annual convention has been postponed since World War II. Previous postponements have only occurred during World Wars, The Great Depression, and in the early years of PiKA’s existence.

Reasons for the postponement include concern for the health and safety of PiKA’s undergraduates, alumni, and guests, due to the coronavirus pandemic. Associated concerns as to the uncertainty of attendance, due to the ability to travel and the probable restrictions set forth by health and governmental agencies, was a significant factor in the decision. An additional consideration was the financial hardship presently endured by many PiKA members and their families due to the pandemic.

Further details pertaining to the new dates and location of the convention are forthcoming.
