Chapter Eternal - Leonardo R. Mateu, Beta Pi '86It is with deep regret to report the passing of Leonardo R. Mateu, Beta Pi ’86. When his death was announced by Mike Troy, Beta Pi ’86, Leo was fondly remembered by an immediate unprecedented response from many of his Beta Pi fraternity brothers, Kyle Solomon ’88, Michael Feuerman ’87, Ben Lipman ’85, Ira Bloom ’87, Brett Prager ’84, Rob Kipness ’87, David Dubin ’86, Scott Krase ’86, Lawrence Tanenbaum ’86, Jeffrey Rosen ’86, Bill Glass ’87, Mark Andrews ’87, and Michael Sternthal ’85. Among the comments made, Leo was described as “a super nice guy," “always had positive energy," “one of the best humanity has to offer," and would be “missed terribly."

After Penn, Leo had an extensive career as a management consultant. At the time of his death, he was President of Experient Group, a position he assumed in July 2013. The Experient Group provides “Computer Related Consulting Services” and was a very successful company under Leo’s leadership.

Our sincerest condolences are extended to Leo’s wife Kimberley, daughter Isabella Marie, son Leonardo Alexander, father Leonardo Mateu, mother Gioconda Mateu, sister Coco D’Ascola, brothers Raul Mateu and Fernando Mateu, and the extended members of his family, including many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
