PHILANTHROPY FLASHBACKThe brothers of Beta Pi chapter have a long and distinguished history of charitable fund-raising and public service to the community and to the University of Pennsylvania.

On February 29, 1980, Pi Kappa Alpha was congratulated by the University of Pennsylvania’s Annual Giving Committee on being the group that successfully solicited the most donors during Penn’s annual telethon. Ira Horowitz, Beta Pi ‘79, was named as the individual who contacted the most donors.

The 1980 fund-raising campaign surpassed all previous years in number of donors and the amount of money collected, $54,049 from 1975 donors.

Kudos to brother Horowitz and all other PiKA brothers, who participated in this effort to aid Penn, for their time and energy spent at this annual charitable event.
